Woodwind & Brass

Woodwind & Brass section classes in the 2017 Festival will be held on Sunday 19th November all day. In 2017 the woodwind and brass classes will be adjudicated by Gill Johnston.


All enquiries to the Wind Section Secretary: Sally Wakelin-Harkett please email info@farnhammusicfestival.org.uk with the subject "Woodwind and Brass section enquiry"

 

 Please note: this page is being updated for the 2017 Festival; some information is incomplete (July 29th 2017)

 

 

Woodwind:- Recorder, Flute, Oboe, Cor Anglais, Bassoon, Clarinet, Saxophone

Brass:- Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Tuba, Euphonium, Cornet, Tenor Horn etc.
Woodwind and Brass will be adjudicated separately if there are sufficient entries.

Tilford Bach Baroque Awards: these three prizes of £50 each will be in the woodwind and brass section in 2017

If you are aged between 17 and 21 you may be eligible to apply for the June Fielding Bursary

Joel Ashford was the winner of the Young Musician Award and June Fielding Bursary in 2014. He was also selected by Grayshott Concerts for a concert performance in 2015

REMEMBER

Accompanists should be arranged when you send in your entries. Give them the date for your section and then contact them with details of your class times when you receive them.

Bring a copy of your music for the adjudicator (see Rules)
