June Fielding Bursary

June Fielding Bursary: 

June Fielding (1928-2011) was one of the founders of Farnham Competitive Music Festival and secretary of Farnham Classic Concerts. A bursary of up to £500 will be awarded to a student who is intending to develop a career in the music profession, in order to support their studies.

Entry requirements

• Age on September 1st 2016: 17 to 21 inclusive
• Applicants should be intending to develop a career in the music profession
• Applicants must enter the Festival in 2016 (no particular class specified).

Failure to attend the class entered will result in automatic rejection of the Bursary application.


The application form is available from the general secretary

Completed forms must be submitted by Monday 21st November 2016.

Selection process

• The 2016 Festival adjudicators will draw up a shortlist for the Bursary

• After the conclusion of the Festival classes on November 20th shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend the Festival concert on December 11th when the name of the Bursary recipient will be announced.
